Friday night flying begins...

Brett perhaps reconsidering setting up under the P-38...
The cool gifts from Ron Patten for all participants...
Another look at the best backdrop a contest has ever had....
Jim Richmond performing a text book steer...
...away from traffic perhaps.
Some early day one scores coming up next.

First glimpse of the flying space.

Rob and Brett checking out the hangar after the B-25 and P-51 were moved out.  What it may lack in height it 1000% makes up for in accommodations.  Do we set up under the P-38 or the Mosquito?
It is not every day that stuff like this gets moved outside to make room for model flying!
Our VIP entrance...or is it?

Some setup pics

This great signage was placed at the entrance to the flying area
.
This is where we will be setting up.  Not every day you get to setup under a P-38.
We got a 36" balloon pure helium fill for under three bucks.  John had to sit in the trunk and hold it though.  All five party supply store employees came out to observe the spectacle.

Welcome to the EAA Indoor Contest Blog

As you may know the EAA is hosting an indoor Family Flightfest and have graciously invited the indoor community to help with some indoor flying demonstrations.  In exchange we also get to fly some contest stuff in the evenings.

Myself, John Kagan, and Rob Romash all decided to jump in the car and make a road trip up to Oshkosh from Ohio.  This is already one of the coolest events we have been involved with so we wanted to share the fun.  This blog will be an attempt to do just that.  We hope to post some pictures, maybe video and a bit of text throughout the weekend.  We hope we can relay some of the feel of this great event.

We hope you enjoy it.
